Course Overview
Project Management Simulation is a fast paced, interactive learning experience using the "SimulTrain ®. EPM is the North America reseller and trainer of this incredible, reality based project management simulation training. This two day training is “facilitator-led and reality-based”. Over the two days of the course participants will manage a real project scenario! Participants work in teams through this "real" project, including all events and influences which occur in all projects e.g. - clients changing requirements, human aspects, critical path, budget, resource constraints, decisions and difficulties. Participants must make decisions under stress as a team, considering all parameters of the project.
This simulator is an exciting and practical application of project management techniques and tools which allow participants to understand the consequences of actions and decisions within a complex system of a project...including the human ones! The focus is practical and based on “real life” projects.
This course is based on the principles established in the Project Management Institute’s® A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK® Guide), which incorporates information essential to project success and establishes international standards and guidelines for project management.
You will build project management skills through the use of the hands-on simulation working with your team. This approach yields a comprehensive project management experience including planning, quality management, resource assignment and management, productivity, decisions, team management, risk management and much more. This tool simulates the reality of working as a project manager in a true project environment.
